If axis video encoder blades are used with any axis video encoder rack in the current monitoring system, the axis t8648 Poe + blade compact kit based on coaxial cable is the most effective way to migrate to a network video solution - and maintain coaxial cable routing.
Compact and flexible
Each axis t8648 Poe + over coax blade compact kit provides a coaxial based axis t8646 Poe + blade and six axis t8643 Poe + over coax compact kits for six cameras. Because the axis t8643 unit is super compact, it is particularly easy to integrate into the installation.
Cost effective configuration to power up to 36 cameras (6 blades).
You already have a rack
The six channel blade kit can be used in any axis video encoder rack or axis 291 1U video server rack. Simply pull out the encoder blade that is no longer needed and replace it with the axis t8646 Poe + blade based on coaxial cable. The installation cost is low because there is no need to purchase a new rack. Any combination of encoder blades and coaxial based Poe + blades can be used, so you can migrate to IP at your own pace.
Dual task of coaxial cable
The axis t8648 Poe + over coax blade compact kit allows you to reuse hard to replace or long haul coaxial cables when replacing analog cameras with axis network cameras. You can integrate power over Ethernet into coaxial cables for effective power management. The distance range depends on the power required and the type of cable quality.

Compact and powerful solutions
Axis rack acts as a network switch, so you don't have to buy and install a separate switch. Simply connect the coaxial based axis t8646 Poe + blade to the two axis t8085 or axis t8082 of your choice for a compact and cost-effective modular installation. For example, you can run up to 36 cameras on a 500 Watt axis t8085 ps57 500W 1U power supply. And you can connect to a backup power source for higher reliability. Alternatively, use the axis t8082 ps57 rack 2kW 1U for larger installation. It consists of a power rack with two 1 kW power modules and additional slots for the other two 1K power modules. So the total possible impact is 4K, built-in redundancy.
