Axis p8221 network I / O audio module provides eight configurable input / output (I / O) ports and audio capabilities, which are suitable for network video systems that do not support this capability or require additional support capabilities. Axis p8221 is a complement to axis network video products and can be easily integrated into existing network video devices with vapix.
Sensors such as access control, smoke detectors, infrared detectors, or broken glass detectors - used to trigger alarm events - can be connected as inputs. The output port can be connected to a control device or a relay, such as opening / closing the door or turning on / off the light in case of alarm.
Axis p8221 supports dual audio in half duplex or full duplex mode. It has a low power amplifier for small speakers, so no external preamplifier is required. It also comes with a phantom power supply for balanced microphones.
The axis p8221 supports power over Ethernet for easy, cost-effective, and reliable installation.
