Tessia's sl183a sl183m (CS mount) and ml183m (c-seat) lenses provide ultra wide field of view without distortion. Theia's SL183 (CS mount) and ML183 (C mount) lenses provide ultra wide field of view without distortion. These are varifocal lenses allowing the user to optimize the field of view from wide angle to ultra wide. The lenses incorporate patented Linear Optical Technology® which allows an ultra wide field of view without barrel distortion unlike other wide angle lenses not including Theia's technology. Similar to Theia's other lenses, the sl183a, sl183m and ml183m are high quality lenses to allow installers to take full advantage of the high resolution of HD and multi-pixel cameras. The lens can be used on cameras with a resolution of up to five megapixels, providing a clear image from edge to edge.
In addition, the SL183/ML183 series also includes EasyZoM, which allows the installer to focus on the lens once and then adjust zoom or magnification to get the optimized field of view. After zooming, only a small focus optimization is needed. It does not need the iterative focusing method required by other zoom lenses.
The lens is infrared corrected for use with real day and night cameras. The IR correction focuses the IR light from artificial illumination on the same plane as the visible light, thus allowing the image to remain in focus when the day / night camera is switched to night mode. Different from the lens without infrared correction, when infrared illumination is used, the image at night will not lose focus.
