The axis f44 host supports up to four axis f sensor units capable of monitoring four adjacent areas. The host can be installed in a sheltered area, while the sensor unit can be installed in a narrow indoor location or an outdoor location as far as 8, 12 or 15 meters (26, 39 or 49 feet), depending on whether the sensor unit and cable accessories support it. The robust and feature rich axis f44 host is suitable for a variety of demanding applications, including stores, ATMs, emergency vehicles, buses and trams.
Covering four regions, economical and efficient
Axis f44 provides a set of simple and cost-effective multi screen monitoring solutions, which stream images from four different areas simultaneously through an Ethernet port. The total installation cost of axis f44, the four sensing components, and other system components may be lower than the cost of a system that includes four equivalent standard webcams.
For example, the cost of a network switch may be lower due to the reduction in the number of ports required. If the video management software (VMS) views axis f44 as requiring one license instead of four, the license fee for VMS can also be reduced. The overall installation and layout of these components may also be easier and more flexible than traditional camera solutions. In addition, the versatile axis f44 supports two full-size SD card slots for local storage of recorded content, resulting in a high-performance stand-alone solution.
Two capture modes
Each channel of axis f44 supports 1080p or 720p viewfinder mode and multiple independently configured video streams. Any combination of two modes in which axis f44 can operate simultaneously between channels.
A viewfinder mode sets the maximum resolution and frame rate. In 1080p mode, the maximum resolution is 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixels), and the maximum frame rate is 12.5/15 frames per second (50 / 60 Hz). It can provide full screen angle from 1080p sensor unit.
In 720p viewfinder mode, the maximum resolution is 720p (1280 x 720 pixels), and the maximum frame rate is 25 / 30 frames per second (50 / 60 Hz). It can provide the screenshot of 1080p sensor unit and the full picture of 720p sensor unit such as axis f1004.
Both in 1080p mode and 720p mode, axis f44 supports four picture stream processing, which can integrate the independent pictures of four sensor units into one picture for viewing at the same time. Each scene captures a quarter of the display area.

Wide dynamic range (WDR) - wide dynamic shadow hunting Technology
In 720p viewfinder mode, axis f44 provides wide dynamic shadow hunting (WDR) on all four channels. Wide dynamic shadow Hunt (WDR) can be activated when connected to axis f sensor units that support this feature. Wide dynamic shadow hunting Technology (WDR) can clearly present details in bright and dark scene areas. This technology is very suitable for the scene where the object appears dark because of the bright background, such as the entrance or the front of ATM machine; or the night solution, the camera must deal with the low light environment as well as the bright light from vehicles, street lights, signboards and stores at the same time. Axis f44, together with axis f sensing unit, can provide color video in low light level of 0.3 lux.

Axis f44 supports axis zipstream technology, which can realize more efficient implementation of H.264 video encoder. It is suitable for a variety of monitoring scenarios and can reduce bandwidth and storage requirements by more than 50% on average. In addition, it ensures that important details are retained when unnecessary data is deleted.

Multiple functions
Axis f44 supports two-way audio and two microphones when using the included axis stereo to mono adapter. Axis f44 also provides four configurable I / O ports for external devices for enhanced alarm management. With RS232 port, external data can be integrated into video. Intelligent video functions include video mobile detection, active damage alarm and applications that can be downloaded through axis camera application platform. The host can use Ethernet power supply or DC power supply.
